What to do when cholesterol is high?
High cholesterol is often linked to saturated fat intake, inactivity, excess weight, or genetics. When detected early, many cases improve significantly with lifestyle changes.
Reduce fried foods, increase vegetables, oily fish, soluble fiber, and stay active for at least 150 minutes per week. In higher-risk cases, a doctor may recommend lipid-lowering medication.
